The Hand Wave Gallery presents Block By Block by June J. Jacobs From July 12 to Aug 15, 2019 An exhibition of fibre felt works that explore snippets of landscapes both real and imagined .
The Hand Wave Gallery features art by well-known and upcoming Saskatchewan artists working in a wide variety of media including fibre, pottery, paint, ceramics, metal, glass, paper, and other dynamic mediums.
Artist June Jacobs lives in Meacham, Saskatchewan. She owns and operates The Hand Wave Gallery and has an art practice based in textiles. Her sculptures explore the organic life forms in her rural landscape, reflected in her choice of shapes and colour palette.
Recent exhibitions of June’s work include World Textile Arts –Small Format exhibition, Mexico, 2011; World of Threads –Dufferin Museum, Oakville, Ontario 2011; Prairie Excellence –Craft Councils of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba Oct 2010; Plein des Bras –Contemporary Textile Museum, Montreal, Quebec December 2009 and January 2010; Unity and Diversity –Cheongju International Craft Biennale 2009, South Korea; Interface 2009 –Mysteria Gallery, Regina; Body Skins –A.I.R.Vallauris, France 2008; and The Eye of the Hurricane –Convergence 2008 Tampa Bay, Florida.
She has completed art residencies in Banff, Vallauris, France and Quebec City.

October 1 – December 31 1 pm–6 pm Call for an appointment.
