About Megan
Megan has a passion for anything felted. Living on a farm in Australia for 10 years surrounded by sheep and angora goats, Megan started exploring felted garments, hats and bags. Using various techniques she realized that she was a felter and not a weaver.
Moving to Canada, the popularity of Facebook created more exposure to felting artists and techniques. Needlefelted portraits was the beginning of her journey and then came wet felted hats. Using a technique from Russia opened all sorts of possibilities in creating hats that were distinct and stylish. Megan loves passing on new ideas to students and provides support long after her class is done.
