Fay Hodson :: Wet Felting Landscapes at Legacy Studio (2018)

Legacy Studio is located in Cochrane, Alberta twenty minutes northwest of Calgary. The studio specializes in supplies for fibre arts such as: weaving, knitting, crochet, rug hooking, felting and hand-spinning. They carry products like: Sari Silk, Silk, Angelina, Fire Star, Bamboo, Banana Top, and Pre felt. In addition they carry Dyeing supplies, tools, books, baskets, bags and buttons.
On November 3rd, felt :: feutre canada member Fay Hodson will be teaching a Wet felting Landscape workshop at Legacy Studio.

For the past fifteen years, Fay has been creating with felt. Her work has been exhibited in a variety of shows and sales like felt :: feutre canada’s “Migration” in September 2016, ACAD Fibre Fortnight, the Calgary Stampede 2018 and the Millarville Fair.
She is a member of the Alberta Craft Council, felt :: feutre canada, Sheep Creek Weavers and the Bragg Creek Artisans. She is currently enrolled in the BFA program at the Alberta College of Art and Design.
This workshop is designed to teach participants how to work with an array of colourful wools and unusual fibres to create felt landscapes.
No wet-felting experience is necessary, beginners are welcome.
