Dimensions Fine Craft Awards
On June 24, 2017, the jury announced the winners of the 14 Fine Craft Awards from this year’s Dimensions Exhibition . Each of the winners participated in the show sponsored by the Saskatchewan Craft Council. This biennial event is a juried and touring exhibition highly regarded for it’s commitment to excellence in hand crafted work.
Submission for the event takes place every two years and invites all Saskatchewan craftspeople to submit up to two hand crafted items. The work is then judged by two qualified jurors. These jurors also decide which pieces will be given a Fine Craft awards. The jurors selected an exhibition of 36 works by 35 craftspeople. 110 artists submitted 183 entries for consideration.
This year we are proud to announce that felt :: feutre canada member, Heike Fink, won the Award for Excellence in Textiles ($300) sponsored by Saskatchewan Weavers and Spinners for her piece: “Playful”. Congratulations on this fine award, Heike. We look forward to seeing more of your work in the future.

The Dimensions exhibition will be displayed at the Saskatchewan Craft Council Gallery in Saskatoon from May 20 to July 29, 2017 and will then take off on an 18 month tour.
