Canadian Felt in the Media :: FELT fashion show 2016 in Felt magazine
Updated: Nov 4, 2021

One of our main objectives at felt :: feutre canada is to promote Canadian Feltmakers on local, national, and international levels. We recently had a wonderful opportunity to do so in the most recent edition of the Australian fibre arts magazine, Felt.
Lesley Buxton submitted an article on felt fashion in Canada, describing the Migration FELT fashion show held in Penticton in 2016, and featuring short profiles on seven Canadian artists working in felt, Laleh Javaheri, Diane Lemire, Jessica de Haas, Rene Corder Evans, Rena Hood Lundrie, Trish Hirschkorn, and Fiona Duthie. The article spreads over three pages with beautiful images of the artists’ work.

Each issue of Felt magazine is a great resource for feltmakers, striking a perfect balance of international and Australian artist profiles, international felt news and in depth tutorials.
Martien van Zuilen is the current editor and her comprehensive knowledge of both feltmaking and the felting world, as well as her attention to detail, are exemplified in every inspiring issue.
